Dealers won't cut it that close to make $$. Thats why they call them stealerships.

I went to nissan to check out the 370z and they offered 31k for my evo x mr, and the salesman told me I could maybe pull 33k for my car but i had to pay almost sticker for the 370z. That was about a week ago.

 

as some have stated, gotta sell privately. whats it worth ?? well , like any non-standard, or at least non-main stream vehicle, its only worth as much as the next enthusiast is willing to pay u for it.

considering that currently dealers have dozens brand new X's sitting collecting dust, its gonna be a tough sell

 

the worst thing u can ever do is trade in your old car to the dealer, while getting a new car there. one way or another, u r bound to get ******

 

NADA says clean trade in is worth $33,925

^ does NADA take into account the fact that currently, for a number of reasons, dealers cant seem to be able to sell a single brand new X (hence lower their selling prices on them), so street values of used ones, drop significantly??

^HTFSIK?^ Just giving you the info I was able to find. More than anybody else has done.

 

If you paid 44.4K, I am assuming that is inclusive of around 3K sales tax. so actual price is around 41k to 40K. For the 4000 miles, if you depreciate even 5K for your usage, you SHOULD get 30-35K at least under a private party sale. Anything below that, you're loosing big.

 

I was considering parting out my X and selling, but heckkkkk no. Not in this crappy market. Not only does my car have 15k miles on it, dealers can't even sell brand new X's for decent prices...
