No 2009 Evo X for the USA. Confirmed by multiple sources within Mitsubishi.
Thanks for the info sblvro.
South Coast is a sponsor and has been helpful in getting us cars and helping us negotiate, and I respect them for stepping up to help the Evo community. But I felt from the start the "no 09's are coming" was just a sales tactic and they'd eventually have to backtrack on that one, and it wouldn't be pretty. Not cool that they raised their prices on the remaining 08's as well....
But hey, times are tough for car dealers.....

Again, no 09's
I just heard from Ramsey Mitsubishi, another dealer who has no interest in lying when he's dying to sell off his 08 cars.
He said he also heard that there will be no 09's, but that the 2010 refresh announcement may come much sooner, possibly before summer. He used the same word; "REFRESH" as the manager at Healey Mitsubishi, so I think at the very least they were told SOMETHING.
That's two major dealers who say the same thing in NY and NJ and from buddy in Florida also heard this from his dealer.
We'll just have to wait and see what's what.

when does the sportback get released? thats a 2010 model right? so assuming it's released along side the regular lancer, we should expect 2010's to show up in a few months at dealers.... why is the freaking EVO now 2 years behind all of mitusibishis other model years
Sportback should be around by spring as it has already been spotted in the US.
As someone mentioned above it is weird for an 09 for any make to come out this late in the model year. Unless there are 09 mixed in with the 08's collecting dust on dealer lots? Anybody bought a X lately that can look at a vin. Dealers have made clerical errors in the past claiming a model year that is different than the actual year on the title. Its not noticed because someone financed it never seeing the title. This has happened to me.
I don't know how you came up with your numbers, but you aren't right.
I've discussed this already on here so I won't go into it any further.
If you choose to belief your made up prices just know that you will be greatly over paying.

oh, i am sorry, i forgot that you are WORLD's most respected authority on car prices.
forgive me
mod: sorry but couldnt resist, you can point me and spaceman (who should come back to earth) to another thread to discuss used car pricing, thanks
Actually, you are really off and are wrong.

I have no idea where the hell you came from and stated that I was off and you were right.
Simply put, you stated prices you would THINK were correct.

If you want to take this any further please PM me and stop taking this thread off topic.
Thanks.
