shift knob..love hate relationship

I have the aluminum evo shift knob..and right now, i HATE it. It was 20 degrees yesterday and my shift knob was -10000000 it seemed. Has anyone else find them having to buy driving gloves so they can shift? Haha..i figured i'd post up and see if everyone else has the same problem with theirs..Does it get extremely hot in the summer too?

in the summer I cept a clean detail cloth in my glove box and put it over the knob when not driving to keep the temp down. not much you can do in winter other than wear gloves.

I used to wrap one of the tennis-type workout wristbands around the aluminum shifter on my Si in the summer. It works pretty good.

I have the stock leather one on my X. I don't miss the aluminum.

I would rather have it cold then hot. You can always just unscrew it and take it with you...... it only takes like 30 seconds....

I keep the liners for my snowboard gloves in my car since the shift knob is ice cold when I leave work at night. I think I'm going to start unscrewing it and taking it into the office with me from now on.

simple solution, it's called a hacky sack. cut a slot in it, drain the stuff outta it, pop it on top of the shifter, doesn't get hot or cold anymore
