The speed limit here is 55... I set cruise at 58-62 mph and i'm around 2500 or so.. i'm guessing anyway.

Speed3 to EVO X

I traded in my Speed3 for an EVO X (just last month) so I know EXACTLY where you are coming from. The 5 speed does make the engine rev much higher than the speed3 six speed, but if i remember correctly the six gear on the speed was made for straight up cruising. I always had to go down to 5th to feel any power on the highway.

As for how loud it gets when u r revving in the evo, keep in mind the EVO was made from the ground up as a rally car, vs. the speed 3 is basically an mazda 3 that they put a turbo in and added better suspension. Another thing to take into consideration is that the Speed3 runs out of breath at a measly 5500, vs the EVO's at 7000.

I don't really mind the noise, I just wish I could get a little better MPG cruizing down the freeway.
