FAST Key
If they did stick a remote starter in, the control unit would be under the dash. You could probably stick your head in there and find out for sure. Also, you usually have to hold down the start button to get it to work (in case you haven't had a remote starter before). Just make sure it's not in gear. Remote start is typically illegal on manuals, so it may have been disabled by the dealer or the prior owner before resale.
I've had em before and honestly never use them. I havent played around with this one, my Compustar on my 99GSX requires you to stop the car, hold in the break, set the emergency break and then let off the break before it will "arm" to start the car.
I'm assuming this one does something similar that i'm not aware of.
I've burnt myself out modding my previous cars, haha I have no modivation to go play with the X for some reason (could be that its still pretty F'n cold outside)

hell no, why buy a new car when i can pick one up used after someone like NOiZE trades it in ( and it's WAYYYY cheaper.)
I have a 15k loan on my X
and 18k miles, I didnt want red, but i wanted an evo (and it matches my 99gsx) but none of that matters now that I have an X in my drive way
they gave me an auto start fob (which i haven't gotten to work yet) and one FAST key fob,
I bet i have the auto start to a different car, though there is a small antani near the rearview mirror that i dont think is stock, so maybe i do have a remote start.. haha

If the car has autostart then it's a good guess that your other key is in the car somewhere, probably mounted near the ignition. FAST keys still have the chip in them where the car won't start unless the key is in close proximity to the ignition. Also, most autostarts on manuals require a certain shutdown procedure in order to tell the system you have left it out of gear or they won't 'auto' start.
So, here's what ended up happening. I was determined to walk into the dealership and just ask them nicely to program my other remote, for my new car. I got in there, and they went to look for my sales guy, so I decide to check my voice mail, and it' sthe sales guy calling me not 30 minutes earlier to tell me they found the extra key! Sickness!!! So, I traded keys with them, and now have two keys.
F'in guys tellin' me there's only one key
