Mine is being replaced under warranty, no rock damage.

Well I don't know if thats true. The new windshield that I have in mine now is ALOT thicker. I don't know if you actually looked at both- you may be right. But this windshield feels like it is almost twice as thick. I might measure it just to prove it. The back glass feels like 500 year old paper compared to the new windshield i just got. It might be some kind of aftermarket windshield tho.

Mine is cracked. Gonna wait on replacing it till i get anothe crack, because it will happen eventually..

 

get statefarm my ins. is $75/month (age 27/ny/no major accidents) and it comes w/ free glass coverage. my wifes car has it as well

 

Same thing happened to me, got the glass replaced and I have to get three chips repaired due to more damage to the new windshield!!! Base Lancer glass is the same as X glass BTW, I talked to the guy from safelite auto glass when he replaced the stock glass.

just was driving on the yellow head and yup rock hit my wind shield and crack. i was just waiting for it. This **** just pisses me of soo bad

 

lol. I actually know a place locally that does this. Don't know if it's actually 3M's clear bra or not though.

my windshield chipped and cracked few days ago,don't know if it because of cheap quality of mitsubitshi glass or what?dealer charge $450 for it,not including installation.damn it....

 

i had a rock hit mine from some stupid person without a tailgate hualing 3" gravel... what a shmuck!! left a little crecent type crack like a little circle or sum..... so i went right away to my local jiffylube & they hooked up a little vacume deal to suck the air out of the windshield.... cant even tell its there. and even better my insurance covered it

 

on the mr, dont you have to get something recalibrated for the wipers? i was watching one of the tech videos and they said thicker glass would mess with it?
