Cracked Windshield

Well i had read on evom that there were some people on here that had already had this problem. I was actually expecting this eventually with how thin the windshield is. It's just aggravating. I'm getting it replaced tomorrow with the regular Lancer windshield because it is supposedly thicker. It spreads almost immiedately.

make sure you are 100% they seal it all the way. they didnt in my IX and it wond up leaking water all over the wiring harnesses. after a few months of not knowing it was leaking funny electrical things started happening. they had to replace all my wiring harnesses in interior of car. check for leaks regularly.

O yea. I will make sure that is 100% complete. We own a buisness that has to do with alot of vehicles and we use this company alot. Theyre pretty reliable. Thanks for the advice.

lancer and evo windshields are identical... one is not thicker than the other on the X... FYI.

Mine cracked in the first month of ownership due to rock chip gone bad...

Ouch, that's a rough one. I have a couple of rock chips on my windshield, and I opted to have insurance just repair them rather than replace the windshield because it's bound to happen plenty more times. Very frustrating.

Thats rough. Cracked windshields are always a *****. I got a big crack on my old jeep windshield. Got it replaced and maybe a month later got a rock chip and wouldn't pass inspection after it was filled so had to get another one again....

Hope everything works out.

My windsheild makes pops/creeks all the time. Sounds like rocks are hitting it but there are not. I am just waiting for it to crack.

Holy crap... I just inquired about the glass coverage for my vehicles the other day from my insurance company. Covers any piece of glass on the vehicle with a $0 deductible. I added it to my truck since I just got the windshield replaced and it was only $16/6mos. For the Evo it was an additional $56/6mos... I didn't add it to the evo because I figured it's not worth it. Maybe I will re-evaluate that decision.
