I cant keep up. Especially since i live in a loft in Brooklyn and its so cold in the winter and I have no place to hand wash my car and Im forced to go through the drive thru car wash. In the warmer part of the year I take my own bucket to the gas station on the corner and use there power washer with my own supplies. few more weeks and Ill try and buff out the scratches. Id be even more screwed if i didnt have a garage to park in

So much for my earlier comment about using a PC to take out scratches...yeah, I have to do that again. LOL. I used my California Duster to lightly dust and...yep, little tiny swirlies/scratches in the clear. LOL. Thank goodness its barely noticeable. Its hard to see even in bright sunlight, but its there! If they can make my glasses anti-scratch, and make superhard/durable clear coatings for signs etc. that makes graffiti/paints/marker ink not stick, why can't they make a car paint that doesn't scratch? Lame!!!

It'd be cool if the cars could be hard annodized or something. LOL.

It peels off, they heat it up and peel the clear bra off. There's some left over adhesive that can be cleaned up. The longer it's been on the harder it is to peel... these things are designed to have a 4-5 year lifespan.

I actually had the clear bra on my 05 Evo replaced because it was getting chipped up and aging. When the installer peeled it off, it was absolutely perfect underneath - just like it rolled off the showroom floor. Put on a new clear bra and looks like new again.

I've owned 2005 Lancer OZ, 08 GTS and 08 X GSR... That being said, all the paints was below par, however when the 05 chipped it was usually bigger, the 08's seem to divot and spot.

What color do you guys think is best to lessen the scratches. I know regardless of color they will show up, but which color shows them less.

I own WW...I was not aware of the paint issues with EVO's. I have a BMW M3 with 60,000 miles on it and the paint is in much better shape vs. my "new" EVO X. I know the price difference, but it's really lame the a $30k car has such crap paint.

Krazy huh? I actually have LESS problems with scratches using judicious amounts of quick detailer and a clean MF cloth...which stands to reason since that is the point of QD. LOL. I was just hoping I could be lazy and use my Cali Duster.

FYI, for those of you that are p***ed about the paint and want a chance at getting it fixed, there is a person over at mitsu-forums in the lancer 08+ section that is getting people to sign and send pics of damage to file a lawsuit. I'm not sure how effective it will be but this will be happening in th US. Not sure about canada, etc...

Mitsu paint has always sucked. I just repainted my entire VIII with 4 coats of paint and 7 coats of clear...
