Who gave up on their scratches?

My X was filthy after running it at the track and the rain.. After doing so, I saw 4 more scratches on my car. Seems like they pop out of no where. I have one long scratch on top of the wing now.. Sorry guys, Im giving up on this battle..

Hey man, Ive done everything. From careful hand washing. Using 2 seperate buckets of water. And drying off the car with the softest microfiber towels..

Yeah I hear you. When I had bought my Evo I had scratches on it, didn't notice it until I got home and then I drove right back to the dealership and had them buff it out. I got the clear bra sprayed on after that but scratches keep on coming...the lastest one was pretty nasty...happened when I was driving home from work....something fell off this A-Team van I was passing and scraped my passenger side door. Oh the Horror!!! I got tennis elbow trying to use scratch out and rubbing compound to fill the gap/scratch in...and then I put a couple of coats of wax on that area.

Wax only fills in those scratches, and temporarily covers them up..

I don't know if these cars come with conventional clear coat or not, but my car came with some scratches from the dealer lot. I'm not looking to abuse it by just setting boxes on the hood or parking in the front row of the grocery store in compact car spots, but I don't worry alot, just wax it a couple or three times a year.

Between scratches and swirl marks all over, and rock chips on my windshield, front bumper, hood, side skirts, and doors, I'm about ready to give up. One of these weekends I'll give it one more big effort to remove as much as I can, and when that fails I'm throwing in the towel.

I know.. I had my EVO proffessionally detailed twice. To rid all of the scratches from the dealer. You know start from a clean sheet of paper. Unfortenetly, new scratches just keep emerging..

Hey guys I just clay bared and waxed my car got it 2 weeks ago man did it make a difference. It didnt take the swirls or scratches out but there are no impurities on the paint I cant remember havin any new vehicles with out swirl marks or scratches only so much you can do guys just wash and wax it often. Btw I use collinites insulator wax never used anything better than that its killer.

I'm glad I got a silver car this time - it hides a lot of that. My last two cars were black and we have hard water. It sucked having to wax my arms off to get all the water spots off EVERY TIME I washed the car. I vowed to never own another dark colored car ever again... the only trade-off is that it's a lot more rewarding when you clean the hell out of them and they shine like glass. :-)

I have 2 rock dents and numerous paint chips from bouncing rocks. I personally gave up on fixing them and hiding them. Drive the car as-is, rallycar.
