Bought her with 7 miles on the odometer January 2010. Now have about 81000 miles. She started out in California, then shipped her to Germany for 3 years of daily autobahn driving and now we’re in South Dakota. Main issues: tail light bulb, battery died once, and slave cylinder. That’s it. Went from stock to a MAP EF 2 and now MHI 18K. She still runs strong as heck. 👍🏽

Hows was it driving her regularly on the autobahn?

It was pretty awesome, but after awhile it loses its fun alittle. You find yourself cruising at 120-130mph, but then driving 80-90mph becomes the norm. I also got there thinking the X would kill on the autobahn, but quickly ran into 600+ Audi wagons that were just mean as heck, on top of all the M2/3/4s too. But in the end it is fun and functional, especially if you think you may be late to work. Lol

Got my GSR in 2015 with 14k on the clock. A few years later, we’re still rocking at 82k with bolt-ons and issue free. Drives like a champ

Bought my 2nd GSR brand new in 2014. Got 83k and counting. Still on the original battery and clutch. No major problems so far. I love this car.

2011 Evo X MR

This is my daily, I have had it for 2 years now. I bought it with around 87 thousand miles on it, I now have 166 thousand miles on it. Just took it to Jack's transmissions since the transmission oil pump went out. Besides this happening I have had no other mechanical issues with the car. Only thing done to it is the grimmspeed boost controller, intake, high flow cat and invidia single exit exhaust.

I stopped driving my full Bolton 2010 MR last year in June after I got my new daily driver. I bought her brand new in 2010.
All I do is move her in the driveway once a month.
She’s currently at 179XXX fun miles.
The most reliable car I ever had!
Still all stock clutches too

I bought my 2008 in 2011 with 30k miles. It has 114k now. Stock internals besides a new clutch at 100k and updated timing chain at 90k.
Stopped daily driving it about 18 months ago.

My Evo has been to 2 track schools and a time trial since you asked this.
At 151,000 miles, my mechanic is telling me a rear wheel bearing is getting noisy and I really should have it replaced.
The replacement is only available from the dealer, will cost $350, and you really should replace them in pairs...
(Edit #1: I think I found the hub/bearing assembly at Rockauto-dot-com, from a brand my mechanic likes, for $150.)
(Edit #2: My mechanic doesn't like Centric enough to use that brand on track. He thinks OEM Mitsubishi is better? I guess I'll go with it.)
(Edit #3: Also changed a wheel speed sensor.)
(Edit #4: My transmission has started to grind about every other time I put it in Reverse.)

I'm just about to hit 161k miles. Now that I don't commute anymore and my work is less than 2 miles from home I hardly drive it. Odd time it goes to work or on a nice weekend. It's a true fair weather only car.

Really? Bad weather is a big reason I keep mine. When we're going to have puddles 5" deep, or when we get (our idea of) serious snow every other year, I can get in my Evo and be pretty sure it's THE car to be in.
(It could also be why I had to replace that AYC pump.)

It's all fun and games until you realize how bad these cars rot on the underside. My 2008 is immaculate in comparison to some 2014's and 2015's I've seen that were winter driven. I like my stuff clean. I'm too old to be busting out the torches or pry bars or breaker bars to remove basic components from under the car. I've owned my fair share of rusty junk and I'm over it lol

I have a $2000 Ford Escape 4WD that's got a 1.5" levelling kit and 31's for crap weather and snow and slush and ice chunks flying off semis on the highway. That crappy escape goes through and over a lot more things than the Evo ever can or ever will. I know the car is great all around but I wanna keep it nice for a long time. That requires keeping it out of salt for the 5-6 months of the year.
