At the rate I'm driving, I'll be at 100k after 5 years of driving the evo, but I plan on keeping it as long as I can. I just wonder how much money I'll have to sink in it, later on in the years. But I also figure that replacing certain items (turbo, rotors, engine components) piece meal, is cheaper than having to buy a new car all over again and pay 30-40k. What does everyone else think?
I just bought a WW MR X and traded in my 05 VIII. My VIII has 107k on it and still on the stock clutch. The only thing that broke was the acd pump but it was replaced under warranty. I rotors probably need to be changed soon but it seems like it can go some more. I was on e85 with 365hp/385tq so if the X is anything like the VIII I hope to keep this car another 7yrs and 100k miles at the very least.
