If you're ok with buying used parts 1250 can go far.

I shipped that out to him the next week I got paid..he never pmed me saying he never got it or anything. I don't know why he is saying I scammed him.. I have never scammed and ask anyone around here.... Also I have proof where I got my extra money. I hit my numbers for work and got a check for 1250.. I can prove the check.. Trust me I didn't rip that guy off.. He got his steering wheel.

Don't spend your entire budget on the AP, it's a waste of your money.

I'd suggest a good custom tune from a reputable tuner. Buying the cable and getting the software is fine but if you aren't someone really knowledgable about tuning you do NOT want to start learning on the EVOX, it is very complicated.

Tune is going to be the best gains for the money. If you can swing it, catback, filter and a tune and you will be a happy man for quite awhile.

You definitely don't need a FMIC as a first mod. The power gains are not substantial enough to warrant the price tag at that stage of the game. The fins on a new intercooler will get dented just as much and as quickly as the stock IC anyway.

$1,250....I would go with...

RRM springs = $219 (reduced body roll)
AMS Reflash w/boost pill = $495 (adds 50whp)
Mini Battery kit = $179.95 (reduced weight, opens up room for cold air intake)
Cold Air intake = $364.95

Total $1,258.90! Improved handling as well as power, best of both worlds.

Okay, so I went over $8.90.

I love my AP. The map switching is great, but not everyone tunes with it. Some kind of reflash is a must on your budget. A decent set of springs will improve the look of your X too. If you want to make your stock Evo X wheels look a little more aggressive, you could powdercoat them and get some spacers to push them out a little or a new set of wheels.

The battery in the Evo X is in the back, isn't it (it is in mine, anyways)? How does that help the CAI?

Or were ya thinking of an Evo IX ?

Essentially yes. Cobb Tuning makes great products but simply put, the Cobb AP is a waste of money. I've been saying it for a while and I'm typically met with aggressive opposition. All the information is available to you...the choice is yours.
