1250 budget

Ok I got some money to play with.. First I think with my 1250bucks I'm gunna get a clear bra put on the car.. That should run 500bucks.. So I have 700 bucks left and I dnt know wat to do.. I thought bout a cobb ap, but I c a lot of ppl selling them so it makes me alil worried if I should get one.. I was also thinking of ams fmic cuz I hit sum big bugs or rocks and I have a lot of fins knocked/bent in on my stock ic so its bugging me and I wanna change it...

Wat u guys suggest?

i guess you don't have a tune yet.. so i would either do that or get the ap. it drives so much better.

I would get the Tactirx cable, AEM Wideband, and a tune for less than the AP. But get an AP or cable so you can do your on tweaking.

^^ I second that, what ever you do make sure you set some money aside for a good tune in your budget.

So u guys r saying that the AP from cobb isn't really worth the 5-600bucks??? I know a tune is worth it but there r so many choices out there. I dnt plan on goin crazy on mods, jus the basics piping, exhaust, intake... I do think an intercooler would look nice on the car!

ap is worth if you aren't planning to spend extra 2-3k on your car. It gives you more power and leaves your car stock. Personally i think that's the best thing i have gotten.

I think you should forget the clear bra idea, and go for a couple power mods and a custom tune....

If you go clear bra, I think it would be a lot cheaper to DIY. I wish I did mine for my car early as well but the bumper ended up getting hit anyways. DIY clear bras can be done fairly cheap with the right materials. 500 sounds expensive IMO for a clear bra. 500 could go towards some great mods

After messing with ecuflash, I'm going to the AP with the race software. From what I've seen it's worth it to me.

for $1250 you can get bolt ons and a nice dyno tune, and make some good power. Forget about clear bras it not worth it, the car will eventually have rock chips no matter what, a $70k car gets rock chips, SO dont worry and unleash some power from that beast..

^Exactly... you'll have a nice scratch free bumper, while the rest of your car is f'd up.... Even if you leave bird shiz on the paint too long, it'll leave a blemish. Which is another good reason to keep a good coat of wax on there.. But either way, if it makes you feel better that you have a clear bra on, regardless if you paid $500 for it..... its ultimately your car, do it. But with the extra you have left over, I'm always for suggesting getting a custom tune rather than the off the shelf stuff.
