I talked to Peter at APR, who was very helpful. It appears that even though the GSR/SSS and MR have the same antenna base, they are in slightly different locations. That is why this new part # won't fit the GSR and vice versa.

i think its kinda crazy that the antenna base is on a different location dont you think?

 

They just need to make the new style for the GSR SSS and I would buy one right now!
