i noticed a strange noise in my evo's engine is that normal??

something definitely sounds like it is rattling around. Any recent upgrades or work/parts being moved around under the hood? Have you taken off the shroud? Is AC on?

 

she was @ the dealer for 10k service... right after i got the car i changed the exhaust and mid pipe

 

that deff does not sound good......how does it drive?

 

Is this something that has started recently? And where is the sound coming from?

Check for:
Exhaust leak
Fluid level for the SST

 

sounds like poop

 

At first I kind of thought it was the timing chain jumping around and then you brought up the exhaust modifications.

 

that is NOT a normal noise you should take it to the dealership ASAP!

also that clicking noise right before you turn your car on is that normal my car does it as well...it goes like click click click....and if so what the hell is it?

 

Sounds like a bearing problem like the Subarus have.

Does it do this in N and all gears or only N? Kind of sounds like an engine bracket or something vibrating....may or may not be serious...I would take it in as well!

 

Bro, can you take off the engine plastic cover, maybe it is just so simple, the plastic cover is vibrating....

yes that stupid sound...
i noticed the sound when i switched to "quiet" HKS exhaust
i used to have Agency Power and it was very loud! maybe that y i just noticed the sound

 

i just went out side ... and stated my car lol...
ahhhh im freaking out lol..
its more like in the engine then the exhaust it sounds like hills hitting a hard wood floor .... :S

i know its not the tick tick from the injection, its the deeper sound ....
