Just figure out where you want them and make something. If you "wish" you could have them in a certain area, just do it. Make a weekend project out of it. There aren't that many places for gauges to actually go, so choose one you like instead of settling for what is available on the market. DIY if need be.

The ones that I've seen above the radio on the middle dash haven't been flush. CP-E is supposedly making a 3 pod to go above our gauge cluster directly in front of us, though its taking FOR-E-VER... I like the stealth placement in gauges and all, but for the gauges that read in real-time... what's the point in putting them some place you can't see them? Especially while driving.

If you read the forums where he posted, he says he can't read the gauges down there. So what's the point?

Frankly, I never saw a need to be constantly watching the AFR gauge, and only used it for tuning purposes with the serial out. You're right, of course; you can't really actively watch a gauge positioned down there. But AFR is so easily logged, I didn't view it as a huge deal.

The question will be what else do I "not need to be able to easily see"; amp gauge comes to mind, heh.

yeah, that spot down there is perfect for the non-essential gauges. But if your plan is to have a good tune with some increased boost, at least have the boost gauge somewhere you can see it to monitor for boost leaks and whatnot.... Or am I just being overly paranoid?

It's too bad there is no great spot in the X to mount gauges. I am very happy with my Perrin steering column pod. It does obstruct your gauge cluster very slightly but it doesn't bother me. It looks nice and clean. I can post pics later if you'd like.

please post pics when you get a moment....I have AEM gauges that I am afraid will stick out to far in the back of the perrin mounts and just straight up look tacky.....

I have the Perrin dual gauge holder for my steering column and a single pod from AMI customs. Andrew does great work and I kinda wish I had gone with his dual pillar solution before putting the Perrin one on.

Yeah, I am debating the Summit pod and the AMI option. I like the fact that the gauges are not in the way with both pods, but with the AMI one you can see them just by a quick glance over while still looking at the road, which is nice. I might go with that solution, but the cost of $225 is killing me compared to the Summit 18 dollar price.

Decisions...

Flat black would look immensely better. No idea of what type of paint to use, but I suggest black
