The radiator is located right behind the intercooler.

Yes, I do realize that. Let me rephrase: The Radiator-esque devices in the front wheel wells.

You mean the oil cooler and tranny cooler on the MR? It's behind the fog light vents tucked near the wheel well.

An alternative to removal...

They make the covers in carbon fiber as an alternative to removal if you are concerned about looks.

I like it, looks raw, I hate plastic craaap and I think they were put on for cosmetic reasons above all. This evo x was to have better finish then previous models. I would like to do it.

Well lets see here, our cars have skimped on certain things to cut mitsubishi's production costs:
Rather poor fabric on the door interiors
Seats that are stapled together
Fiber material for our trunk mat
Plastic a/c knobs that rattle like pop rocks in a tin can
Plastic acceleration pedals
Paint
Mitsubishi did not skimp on:
Any performance part including
Tires
Swaybars
Tower Bars
Intercooler
Transmission
Engine
Recaros
Brakes

I'm pretty sure if they skimped on our aesthetic design to cut costs, they are not going to put a couple 1$ pieces of plastic on the car for no reason.
1$ per piece X 2 pieces per car X 8000 (2008) Evo X's MINIMUM
Yes, Mitsubishi spent $16,000 on pieces that do absolutely nothing for our cars.

how does it look more like a ralliart? you would have to be an idiot to get the front bumper of an evo and ralliart confused.. i hate when people make dumb comments like that...

like when you go wingless you make the evo look like a base lancer.. tfo with that..

I think it looks good.
I don't think I would do it though. I'm not sure how much of a difference they make, but I think any extra air on the oil cooler, and especially the SST, will make a difference.

I've seen this kind of setup in person and I think it looks cheap.
If you want a rawer look then remove the fog lights.

I think it looks retarded, and besides who wants to show off the stock intercooler? I could understand takign these off if you had a nasty-*** aftermarket frontmount...
