SOS! EVO X LED tail light -----> signals stoped working

Hi guys,

I recently purchased the LED tail light for my X MR ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/08-09...Q5fAccessories)

After installing it today, I noticed that the rear blinks faster than the front. And soon after that my entire signal (left right emergency) system stoped working. and no signal indicator even in the cabin.

I am extremely worried now. Please let me know if there is a solution to solve this. Or anyone else is experiencing this. I had to drive out with out my signals and it was troublesome. please let me know if anyone has a clue. Thanks alot.

Try some 5W 180Ω resistors. LEDs use less power and the canbus mistakes it for blown bulb

throw the stocks back on and see if the lights still work. if they don't you might wanna toss the stockers on and take it to the dealer, you may have fried something

Back during my biking days and when it was almost customary to have LED signals, we would always connect resistors in series to the LED lamps to fool the bike into thinking that it was still on stock signals. Failing to do so would result in the LED blinkers flashing at a higher frequency.

Alternatively, we also had the option of purchasing an often more expensive but neater solution; in the form of an aftermarket blinker relay that would adjust the frequency of the supplied voltage from the source, to fit the usage of LED blinkers.

Usually when you install LED bulbs or some sort on the car you need resistors or else it has that super-blink effect.

okay! i will put up the pix and the light situation is fixed. I was too ambitious or idiotic to try and have LEDs act as my blinkers. in the end i found out that the blinkers are actually from stock bulb. Thanks everyone for participating with my foolishness and pix are up in the SHOW and SHINE section. Enjoy. =]
