when will 2010 evo x be on sale?
Jez people; it is an OPTION on the 2010 MR:
SO simple: If you like leather and moonroofs and want an Evo, then ORDER the touring package.
IF not,
buy a GSR or a base MR.
Comparing an evo with a sebring because it is an EVO (same engine and transmission options, even same body style) with full leather and moonroof is ridiculous.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but comparing the new evo to a sebring? Fan boy fandom and its accompanying small niche is what caused Mitsu and others to 'expand' their brand offerings. Mitsu wanting to offer base models to the 'purists' while increasing sales (aka staying in business) by offering EVOS with luxury features is fine by me.

Evos have had sunroofs before. I don't understand the "OH NOES!! It's abandoning its ROOTS" type comments. You could get them with sunroofs as far back as the Evo 5, maybe further. If anything, I assumed there'd be outrage over the leather, which is actually new.
Mitsubishi is a sinking ship. If adding leather to the MR helps them stay afloat (by appealing to a broader audience), I'm all for it. I'll buy a GSR.
They're obviously trying to effect an Evo-halo around all their cars to boost sales (look at the Lancer GTS and RA). I just hope it works out for them.

I think mitsu is trying to appel to a broader range of buyers. A buyer that would be looking at a Lexus IS350 or a Audi S4, would maybe consiter a Evo X MR. With a "touring package" no wing, a sunroof, leather and all the other creature comforts that some car makers are offering in their sports sedans without all the flash. Some people are saying that the evo is becoming devolved, IMHO it's quite the opposite. It is just evolving to a larger range of buyers.
