Cobb tune void warranty ?
Again. I took my car to get the recall reflash with my AP still installed (running the stg 1 93 oct map) and they never even mentioned a word about anything. I should also have a pretty high flash count since I have to reflash for different gas oct all the time. Again, they didn't mention a thing.

1) You're a lucky man and have a mod-friendly dealership (they do exist, they are just few and far between).
2) They marked it down and didn't tell you and you'll have one heck of a present waiting for you if you ever come in for warranty work.

When I traded in my old 2007 WRX with a protune still installed on the ECU (it had a full TBE), the buyer 2 months later contacted me about some questions he had pertaining to the mods I had installed on it, and he said that the Subaru dealership told him that the ECU was virgin!
we use secrete squirl techniqes big brother is watching, and let be honest we are hard on the evo's at times and yes things break but is that really mitsubishi's fault if you mod your car and then expect them to pay for the repair when it says right in your manual don't mod the car or repair won't be covered. quite nit picking its not the dealer's fault its the DPSM calling the shots when it comes to covering a warr. repair. not the dealer they simply follow the rules so Mits. doesn't pull the franchise. look at it this way Mitsubishi spends tons of money on R and D on these vehicles and you go and throw on some A/M part going outside the engineer's design specs and expect Mits to pay for the damage come on get real... sorry for the rant but I m sick of hearing everyone complain about Mitsubishi's warr. coverage
It's quite possible that the dealership just wouldn't sell you the car without it. It is likely that every state has a different law regarding whether they can refuse to do business with you over declining arbitration.

This is the first car that I've ever modded so I can't say how Mitsu compares to other manufacturers but I knew I was on my own when I started looking at mods.
8 grand for me (new motor). No mods either, just denied based on "consumer neglect" Car had oil starvation under the first 3k miles.
I would be livid if the motor went out at 3k for no good reason (I'm a little over 2k myself right now). You go stock or build it? I figure if something goes then that'll be an opportunity to replace it with something better.
