COBB v403 Maps for 2008-2010 Evo X GSR and MR

Hey guys! As you've seen in our other thread, we've been updating the calibration files for the Evo X. We have carried the improvements learned with the 2011-2014 cars into these maps in hopes of offering a complete host of maps for all USDM Evo Xs.

Thorough testing has been done in-house on multiple vehicles however before pushing these maps to full release we would like to hear your feedback. Please feel free to submit datalogs and ask any questions you have. We’ll do our best to answer your questions and make any changes to the calibrations that are deemed necessary.

Make sure your Accessport firmware is up to date using Accessport Manager, and the maps should then be on your device. You can also download the OTS maps off of the maps section of the COBB Tuning website.

NOTE: V403 Maps have been moved to full release and can be downloaded off of the COBB Tuning website.

As always, thank you for your continued support!

COBB Mitsubishi Team

Nice! Have any major changes been made with these and the v402 maps that I helped to send logs on a couple weeks back? My car is running pretty nicely with the v402 Stage 2 map. Have not had the chance to do the Stage 3 yet though. I will use this map and send you the logs when I am able to.

I just received my V3 Accessport two days ago. Downloaded the AMS Stage 2 93 Octane map and reflashed. No issues. How can I help with the datalogs and when should I datalog? This is my daily so when should I start to log to help you guys?

Seems better than the v4.00, but I am getting the CEL P0420. Never had that problem when I was using the V4.00

There have only been minor refinements to the maps since V402. V403 have some changes made for cars that were experiencing knock during initial takeoff, and adjustments for some erratic idle.

We currently do not offer a V403 AMS map so you may be running an older revision. If you would like to send a datalog of a 3rd gear pull from about 2500 RPM to redline under WOT conditions and the default log list selected to mitsubishi.experts@cobbtuning.com, we can make sure everything looks okay.

What stage map are you running and what modifications do you have on the car?

I am running stage 2 91, with TBE and HKS filter. It happened twice so far and I reflashed and clear the code, it's gone at this moment. Will keep you update

These maps make my car idle like crap. Either wants to file around 1,000rpms or bounces around and almost dies when trying to idle down.

Just putting in my experiences on v403 here like others.

I'm running the stage 1 ACN LWG map. My idles don't bump around anymore in the 600k RPM range anymore, but it seems rather high in the 1k RPM range at idle.

Although because the RPM's idle higher now, my MR seems faster since it doesn't have that little lag at the beginning when putting some throttle on which is great.

So far the V403 has been awesome, only thing I've noticed on a stock stage 1 tune is that the idle hangs up a little bit when you let off the gas before going back down say between downshifts or when coming to a stop at light going from 2nd to N but it's pretty inconsistent as to when exactly it happens and not a tremendous issue.

I have the same high idle on my v403 Stage 3 2014 GSR (i know this is the 08-10 post, but perhaps there is some cross over)

I noticed this as well. hangs at 1200 until im at a complete stop. I plan on messing with the settings this weekend to see if I can take care of the little issues I am having with 403.

I will share my findings/results

Its normal for idle to be a bit high until the car comes to a stop; this can be due to the additional airflow through the engine bay.

What about start up idle hovering around 1500-2K and then dipping to 8-9K... repeat? Mine is also outside of these years (2013) but is related to topic.

Cars are designed to idle high with a cold engine, but as the engine warms up the idle should slowly settle down to the normal RPM.
