Sorry to butt in on your conversation but I was reading your post and noticed that you are running a stage 3 map without an EBCS, is that correct? Because I just installed the recommened downpipe and didn't get the EBCS and I updated the map to a stage 3. Are you having any problems with it? I'm just afraid I'll be over boosting.

Thanks

with v403 it idles are nearly 1000rpm.

The "hang" of the RPM does not really bother me, i'd rather it hang the RPMs, than stall when coming to a stop.

but the nearly 1000rpm idle is a little annoying and it seems likely that something in the v403 tune is causing it

The 3-port BCS is *REQUIRED* to run these Stage 3 OTS maps; it is not an optional part.

I said

"however, on the stock tune with all the parts i have(minus EBCS of course)"

which means, when I was on stock tune, I had all the same parts I currently have, except the EBCS

EBCS on a stock tune will not work right and as Kracka said, EBCS is required for stage 3

well it appears there isn't much difference between the two tunes. i feel my car may like the 403 better once i'm WOT. my idle is also <= 1k with this tune. the other tune however was around 800.

Yeah I thought it would consist of a Cobb sf since stage 2 generally includes a aftermarket intake but under map notes it didn't state an intake. So I'm confused ? Plus under acn91 it says minimal 93 94 which also didn't make sense .... Cobb please reply !!!

Pretty sure its a typo in the description of the map, if 91acn is in the name of the map, its made for 91acn fuel.

Canadian 08 MR owner here. Been working with Eric testing v403 in the cold weather here and the maps have been running great here since October.

Here are my notes so far: Oct-Dec varying between 12c to -10c

-Overall 3-4th gear WOT pulls are really smooth with little to no knock

-900rpm idle was set to solve an idle surge problem and in turn also helps with idle vibrations for those who have stiffer motor mounts installed.

-Remember, Cobb changed v401+ maps to use OEM boost pill again. If you're experiencing over boost then revert back to OEM boost pill.

-For those running high flow cats, some WG target boost may need to be lowered a bit due to the back pressure. (this was my issue) Since Cobb sets WG #'s for test pipe vehicles.

-1st gear hard throttle really improved from V400/401

-0 stall issues seen (reported in v401 by some)

-Secondary o2 may not be disabled, or was not on mine but I notified Eric and he might of updated for the public downloads.

I'll continue to report back anything else. I've ordered a cobb 3-port for now so I can test the stage 3 maps.

any idea if the stage 2 map is designed for the stock air filter or the cobb sf? it wasn't noted

Edit: found it, when you click on the map in the accessport manager it stats stock air box..... LAME

easy enough to fix

just use street tuner to copy the maf scaling from a tune that is for the intake your want into the stage 2 map.

I did the opposite for the stage 3 map I am running. It is made for the Cobb SF intake but I am running the stock airbox.
