The v403 maps utilize the boost pill. My car didn't respond well at all with the Grimmspeed and stage 3 maps. Just make sure ports 1 and 3 are correct. Cobb tried to tell me I installed it incorrectly.

Is the v403 maps a lot different than the OTS v1.08 maps?

My AP is new and I'm pretty sure if came with the v403 map pre-loaded on it but have never tried it out.

My car is an 08 GSR.

Cobb - v403 Performance Map-0 has LEANER fueling in columns 120 and 140 (load) than Map-1 Economy which is RICHER at those load areas. This is for a 2012 MR 93 octane, didn't check other v403 OTS maps. Seems like that isn't quite right. Although not dangerous.

V403 maps have been moved to full release, added to firmware, and are now available to download off of the COBB Tuning website.

I noticed that as I was looking through the site. I'm guessing official support for other intakes will be available in the future?

We will be releasing an instructional video that shows how to make changes to the OTS maps in order to run a list of common intakes.

So I downloaded the stage 1 stock intake v403 map for my GSR. I made sure I downloaded the right map and when I try and move it to my AP V3 I get a message that the map is not for my car.

I check the details of the map within the manager software and it shows the map is for an MR.

Whats the deal? Did Cobb upload the wrong maps for the GSR or are they all the same?

I'm not going to put the map on my AP unless it's safe to do so.

Mind you the AP came with this v403 map preloaded on it. I just wanted to overwrite that file in case the one online was newer.

This was an issue with the 08 Stage 1 maps on our end that has since been fixed. You can now download the correct map for your car from our website. My apologies for the inconvenience.

I'm pretty sure my AP already has the map but thought the message I got when trying to add it on the AP was strange and thought you guys would like to know.

Thanks for the update

Which Map?

Eric-

Hopefully a simple question. I am currently running a Perrin panel filter with the the tune that it came with. I am about to install a COBB down pipe and test pipe. I also have an HKS intermediate pipe (65mm pipe that goes from the test pipe to the factory muffler).

Here is the question (in multiple parts):
  1. Should I use the Stage I Cobb Map even though I have the factory muffler?
  2. Do I still need to remove the boost pill?
  3. If I use the Stage II map, what mod do I use for the intake? Is the Perrin filter similar to the Cobb Panel Filter?

By the way, this is for a 2010 Evo X SE.

Thanks.

Brez!

If you will be running pretty much a full turbo-back aside from the stock muffler, a Stage 2 map will be better suited than a Stage 1. We have seen that when these cars run the newer maps without an upgraded cat-back, heat can build up when driving aggressively for extended periods of time. This heat can then cause detonation to occur. I would recommend logging the car to make sure you do not experience high values of knock, but I suspect you are going to be fine.

The V403 maps are designed with the factory boost pill in place unless you are running a Stage 3 map. The Stage 3 map that switches to a COBB 3-port will remove the boost pills from the system. You can severely overboost the car if you run a Stage 1 or 2 map with the factory boost pills removed.

These cars are very sensitive to any changes made to the intake system and that includes panel filters. We do not have a specific map for the Perrin drop in, so you will need to monitor your LTFT and STFT. If you see these are outside about a +/- 8% range, you will need to make adjustments to the tune.

Thanks Eric!

I'll let you know how this pans out. I just got a TSB notice from Mitsu, so I need to return this to stock before I try the new map.

By the way, what is the "COBB high flow filter" listed on the later model Evo Xs? I didn't see this on the web site.

Thanks.

Eric,

Just a thought, but when I bought my AP from Perrin, it came with a map specifically tuned for their panel filter. If I can get them to give me the values they used for the MAF scaling, can I use these values with the COBB Stage II map (along with the updated load calc table)?

Thanks
