We all know that these things like to blow smoke, but no more smoke? I went into the dealer a couple weeks ago to get my fuel line recall done and to get a reflash for the AWC ECU. While there I complained about the random erratic idle and sudden dying while the car is stopped. They gave it the factory reflash and voila......Car runs a hundred percent better. But,,,, not it does not blow smoke anymore except at almost redline. Has anyone with factory reflash seen their smoke dissapear??

 

Man I just got mine tuned with a new turbo. I look like the car in spy hunter at times. I have a huge smoke screen at times.

I still have stains on my garage door from starting my FD in the morning, it would puke black crap all over it :rofl:

It's carbon from the fuel burn. The amount coming out the tailpipe varies depending on how much fuel you're feeding it and what your a/f ratio is. A tune or flash can make a big difference.

 

I've got a brand new ECU and got the recall done. Still smokes like a diesel with any boost.

 

You will probably notice a big difference in the amount of the smoke that comes from the car but it shouldn't be gone.
