Really, which is quicker?

So when the evox first came out, they said the mr (sst paddle shifting) would be quicker than the gsr off the line , but i've been searching, watching alot of videos and lately been seeing that gsr's are faster. So is it just the driver difference or the car??? can somebody answer this for me???
It all has to do with clutch slippage and launch RPMs. The MR would likely take the cake if it was a race from a roll (insert "we don't race AWD cars from a roll" comments here).. The MR shifts incredibly quickly but has a high self-preservation instinct when it comes to drag race style launches. (insert "The Evo is/isn't a drag car" comments here)

I think these days it's fairly "common" knowledge that a well sorted dual clutch set up will simply be faster than a manual around a road course. That said, I think I will always personally prefer a manual transmission for the increased driver involvement/feel

Agreed X 10, I think it makes it "FEEL" a lot more sporty.
It depends. A GSR will be faster in a straight line than a 2008 MR but possibly in a dead heat or slightly slower than a 2010 MR judging by initial numbers of the 2010 MR by a couple of magazines. Around a twisting road course the MR in SS mode will always be faster stock.
