How fat is your X?

Ok guys, im kinda shocked when i found out my car weighed 3,950 pounds with me inside it, im 229 pounds but i still think 3,721 is a lot. Ive got rotas and nitto 265's on it but i still dont understand where the weight is coming from!!! I weighed an evo 9 with me inside it and it only weighed 3400 and that is with my weight on top so it would translate to 3,171 the car by it self.

Im curious to know where all the weight is coming from?? its just too much my b7 audi s4 weighed 3638 and it has a huge v8 plus tons of sound deadning which the x is missing.

Ive got Nav+ Aero package + rockford fosgate sound system!! What do your cars weigh?? and please list if your car has nav, aero, sound package etc or if you have reduced some of the weight. I wanna shave some pounds of my evo for the circuit so i just want to know where to start.

wow

did you have a full tank? any other.. heavy mods? lol

the weight is unusual for a GSR, like 200 lbs over, and most of the x owners will attest that the X is even lighter than that.
those sound packages etc shouldn't amount to more than I dunno 50, 75 pounds?

almost full tank of gas but no spare wheel and jack!!! I dont think rotas weigh much more than the stock ones, maybe my 265 tires do though!!

My '08 USDM EVO X GSR (with SSS and Aero Kit) weighs 1625 kg= 3582 pounds, with 60% of gas (spare wheel and all other things on the car, and obviously without driver). The scale is very precise since we use it for weighing cars during homologations.

It's 72 pounds more than the weight reported on that interesting article (that is also with full tank), but SSS and Aero Kit can add some weight.

Weight distribution was:
FL = 475.6 kg
FR = 444.8 kg
RL = 342.6 kg
RR = 362.0 kg
so
F = 920.4 kg = 57%
R = 704.6 kg = 43%

Hope it can help

I know its a serious track car, but any tips for a street car besides the obvious: Exhaust, spare/jack, mini battery?

I'd love to get it down to the weight of a stock IX.

There's so much stuff really, but here is a list from a long time ago to start.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-my-evo-x.html

I'm trying to think of some other obvious stuff but you kinda have to get a lil hardcore to make some decent gains past what's posted in that thread
