The Economy of the Simple Mods

Blog Article:
http://mitsuevozr.blogspot.com/2009/12/2009-evo-x.html

So Simple Mods are in, what's the shifting economy done to your mod plans? How much are you cutting back? How concerned should we be? What's the simplest mod plan with the best all around gains at the lowest price point?

The economy hasn't affected me much. It has now slowed down my winter build plans since they are making us cut back some time even though we are salaried But the end game remains the same for me.

Honestly, people should just skip parts and go to a tune if they want the most. After that everything is uphill for making more power for cheap.

To be honest, the economy has not had an impact at the rate I modify my car. If it's something I want for the car, I buy it. The simplest mod plan is not always the best. By simple I'm sure you mean the most cost effective and low maintenance. The last thing you would want to do is substitute quality for price. In my experience, most items of quality don't come cheap in relative terms.

Don't read this even.

This is for an Evo 8/9 not a 10. Although a lot of it will be the same, many things people had to upgrade on the 8/9 we don't have to do on the X. So i would just avoid that and search the X forums and research certain gains for certain parts.

Cheapest would be TP, drop-in, tune. After that there are a lot of options.

As far as my own mod plans, I planned to take a break for the Winter. I'm nervous about my Spring plans having to be abridged but no need to worry right now.

my drop in panel filter, keeping decent tires on it, and tune have kept me entertained. My next mod would probably be to sell it.

If anything for me I have bought more than normal cause people are selling things way cheaper than normal cause they need the money.
