The North American Evo has wider seats then the rest of the world. Were a bunch of fat a$$'s. If you can't fit in the seat... Lose weight, or buy a SRT10 Dodge P/U with a bench seat

Agree with that, the stock 8 were bit to large for me
Not sure for the 9, they felt tighter

Big bolsters on any seat make you feel snug, but you get used to it.

To each is own but I have to disagree. I' 155ish lbs and 5'9ft and i get uncomfortable on longer trips. I love the seats, they are exactly how racing seats should be. They are just very hard, thats what bothers me. A Friend of mine bought a Genesis coupe recently and the leather seats are just as buckety as a evo but leather and softer. I wish the evo was like that. That interior is actually very good for a Hyundai, comparable to BMW'S and I'm not exaggerating.

Hell I have a 30" waist and the first thing that came to mind when I bought the car was, "How in the hell is anyone larger than me expected to fit in these seats?"

Yup. I'm a puny little man-child, and often wonder how it'd be comfortable, at all, for anyone larger.

If you're comfortable at 6'2" and 210, so be it, but damn, I almost think you're in a different car

I'm a 36-38, and they are some of the most comfortable seats i've ever sat it. They fit really, really well. The day I bought it I drove it 5 hours home, and it was really nice.

Same, 6'4" and 160lb with a 30" waist. These seats couldn't fit me any better and I often wonder how people larger than myself can fit in them. Hell, a bit over a year ago I was 255 with a 42" waist and there's no way in hell I would have fit in them then. I don't know how some of you do it!

Bolsters are kidney busters

I'm a big guy but found my EVO8 Recaros perfect. Snug but comfortable.

The EVO 10 seat bolsters, OTOH, are hitting me in the kidneys and make it difficult to drive the 10 more than an hour or so. I questioned the salesman about the seats before I bought the car and was told their upholstery folks could change the seat as needed.

I'm going to have to look into that. If I have to go aftermarket, I'll likely have to give up the seat mounted side air bag. It would be worth it.
