I bought my TWM SS about a month or two ago and it is awesome. Makes a HUGE difference. It feels great. TWM ftw!

Yea the shift knob makes a pretty big difference to me. I just wish it the knob didn't get so damn cold in winter- which will prolly mean it will be hot as ***** in summer. But my hand being cold for 5 minutes it worth it to me. Make sure you get some bushings too. They work very well. My X shifts so smooth now. Notchy gears gone!

Can you eloborate on the notchiness? You stated that the shifter resolved your notchiness? Are you sure, do you still fell the same way? I ask b/c others have reported a SS does not resolve the notchiness.

think its a hit or miss, or just a placebo effect. You'll find a lot of varied opinion on the issue on these boards. only way to find out is to try it.

Yep, my thoughts too. I'll try the Gate selector bushing first...

I installed the TWM SS this weekend and still have some notchiness, especially the 1-2 shift. The notchiness in other gears mostly went away; however, I am going to put some Redline fluid in and the gate selector bushings to see if it will go away.

Oh, TWM SS rocks!! Install was super easy, except taking off the stock grommet thingy that holds the shift boot on (I had to cut it to get it off).

I installed my TWM & bushings this weekend as well. While I still notice some notchiness, when the car gets warmed up and I shift it for about 10mins (during normal driving), it all but goes away.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it's so chilly here in Colorado still. Otherwise, I couldn't be happier. Best purchase I've made for the car so far.

I also put in one in my wife's 2010 Impreza 2.5i. It's only a couple of weeks old and she is absolutely in love with it too.

Great product. I also had fantastic customer service through emails, with one of the sales reps.
