^^^^vid of the two head to head^^^^^

honestly, if i had found one for the steal i got on the evo, i might be in a 135 as well
Although I beileve the 135I to be quicker in a straight line the guy in the Evo needs to learn how to launch the dam thing.

test driven the 135, thought about giving up my 350 for it..decided against it and chose to keep my AMG as the weekend car..when i get tired of my lancer if no other car catches my eye i might upgrade to the evo. but my lancer is a good DD with some good gas mileage that i can beat the hell out of. i dont think ill see too much of a different experience from my amg and 350

My buddy has a chipped 335i with a couple other mods but I spank him the only thing is I like the 3 because its a lot smoother and a lot more friendly....We went to the local Bimmer dealer in my car and I was pretty much thrown out of the dealer by the salesman when he asked me what I was switching from...I later learned that he has an STI with some bolt ons....I then went to another dealer and was dealt the same hand except the salesman now drove a 135 chipped and some other stuff...he agreed to show me his car and I was impressed I got in mine to do a highway pull with him...I now can say screw the bimmer and he thinks I'm lying about my amount of mods

Another thing about the evo is the fact that there's no warranty and your treated like a piece of dung when u go in for service around here. If I did end up going with the mods I would want in the evo, I calculated, to do it right, it would cost about $10k. If I did decide to do some mods on the 135i, it would run about $2200, with very similar results. The evo would be a little faster but after a year, the punishing ride gets old and some days u just want to get in & chill, not have to deal w a track car. There's just less balance w the evo. Also, that new service notice from Mitsubishi about having the district manager clear Amy repair over $500 is the most rediculous thing I've ever heard. Treat your customers like **** and they go elsewhere. BTW, I doubt I'll ever socialize with another BMW owner b/c it's so true that most of em are major douche bags just in it for the badge and have no idea what is under the hood.

Everything from failed steering racks, to loose HIDs, to Auto-climate system that had a mind of its own, driver seat once broke in the folding position, mud flap came loose, tail light went out twice within 2 weeks, check engine lights randomly went on with no reason, seat belt mechanism that would give you the belt(stupid) would get stuck 7 out of 10 times, etc etc.
And the worst part is that the douchbag BMW service staff looks at you like there is no problem and that your crazy. They have this notion in their heads that they know everything and you know nothing.
I once had the coupe shut die on us while driving and their excuse was that it was the fuel we were using. I ALWAYS put the recommended fuel(premium) and when I let them know that, they said that I should mix Premium fill-ups with Regulars. LoL, what!?
When I braught the car in because of the light problem, I told them that they would shake a little after you would hit a bump. It was a problem that started happening shortly after we picked up the coupe. THEY told me that they didn't see any problem and that it was normal. I told them that I wasn't stupid and that I have owned cars with HIDs and at the time was working at a Porsche/Jaguar/Aston Martin dealership so I KNOW it wasn't normal. After that conversation, I got the car back and the symptoms were gone.
The coupe was returned with a bubble on each tire(POS BF runflats, RE050s)http://forums.automotive.com/70/1100...ems/index.html.
After fighting with BMW/service/BF over the phone over a dozen times and then threatening filing a lawsuit against them, they never sent me a bill.
The past 4 years has open my eyes to BMW alot. You couldn't pay me to drive any of them again. I can go on and on and I'm sure i'll keep remembering things, but I'm going to stop ranting.

Good luck with your 135i, you might need it.
I've got similar experiences to these. and that why after my 2nd z4 i'm looking else where.

still can't make up my mind between the evo and 370z. i'd never consider another bmw

Have to do some CSL rims so t doesn't look like such a chick car. The interiors pretty sweet too,not as good as the 3's but I'd rather pocket the extra dough.
its not a twin turbo, its a duel turbo, one is tiny other is still small That being said, you can get a MR loaded for 8-10k off sticker. Throw in a 300 dollar tune and you are faster then a 335. Nice leather, Nav etc. The ride is much better then the GSR also. Only thing you give up is a quality interior.

Ah, I've had comfy cars, a BMW and two Mercedes. I've had fast, a 500 HP 911 and an E55. I'll stick with my EVO and have fun upgrading. I have a four door car that's totally awesome in the summer AND winter that I get constant compliments on.

Wow this thread is getting cut up Noize, I thought some good points were being made on both sides, bottom line you came back, you gave up a nicer dashboard for pure performance. I would take the 335 any day of the week and would do the intake vishnu mod and be happy. This guy is coming from 2 bimmers so he has to drive both. If you go MR at least the fall wont be as far.
