i just took a piece of duct tape and folded it in half, sticky side out, like you'd hang a poster on the wall Maybe an inch square. Its just the trim tapping lightly against the door, you could probably just jam a post it note behind there and it would stop.

now what about the seatbelt mechanism buzzing? it's alot louder and annoying than the door rattling. did you have a quick rundown on how to fix it? i'm not touching a thing, but will tell mtsu when i bring the car in the next time i get it serviced

i haven't had that issue yet, but you could troubleshoot it by placing pressure on the different parts of it to see where the rattle comes from, then tear it apart!

I had no results when asking the dealer to solve rattle issues in my IX. It was pretty awful in certain situations. I got used to SOME of them, others still bothered me.

With my X, I basically accepted that it would rattle. I have door buzz, seatbelt mechanism buzz, dash buzz, and some glovebox buzz. I may check out the door at some point, doubt I'll bother asking the dealer.

Do you have the bass control turned up? The male voice resonates at a fairly low frequency, which can cause sympathetic vibrations in the door panels. This, and all creaks and rattles, are common issues in the world of car audio. You can have a look at my (audio) install thread for a door card fix.

Creaks caused by adjoining panels are dealt with via closed-cell foam, either Ensolite (very thin) or the foam sold by sounddeadenershowdown.com. The foam is installed between the panels - its thickness chosen relative to the need - and that's usually the end of the problem. Almost any creak and rattle can be fixed.

Worth trying.Mitsubishi always fights you but if persistence can pay off.In my case it was my steering wheel.Try asking for District Manager's name, that seemed to help me.

After 8 months, the only rattles I have are both door windows which are resolved by the dealer directed by a TSB.

FYI, took mine in to the dealer to fix the passenger door rattle yesterday morning.

Took them 20-30 minutes, and the rattle is now completely gone. Pretty happy, as it was getting on my nerves for sure.

They followed the TSB, and made it sound like its a pretty common problem (they knew exactly which rattle I meant as soon as I told them the issue I was having), and told me that they've fixed them countless times.

WOW... you had the same rattles i did , well i still got the one in the dash cluster and on the rear deck panel. BUT

i had the seat belt rattle , super annoying! i took the plastic trim off, looked around was not able to find the rattle , drove the car with nothing but metal and the noise was coming from inside the frame! so to remedy the issue i drove to home depot and got this

cover the bottom part of the pillar with news paper and inserted the straw in the top whole " remember to put the bolts back in before you foam" and PRESTO no more rattle in that part...

Door panels , remove the panel and separate the panel from the fake trim , use double sided tape

put the trim back on and that should take care of it...
