mitsubishi denied my fuel line recall
I think the point is missed. It takes the same amount of time for both parts. Saying they have to charge just because it is an aftermarket part is BS... That is like saying we have to charge more to wash you car because you wheels are 19" instead of the standard 18.
Maybe if the dealer did not say this to him, he would feel comfortable coming in the future to have things done. It is a 2 way street. Whenever I have found dealers to overlook parts, I have continued to use them throughout the lifetime of my car (if i did not feel like doing the work myself).

They're simply following instructions in a Mitsubishi TSB guide. If it deviates at all, if the bolt is slightly different, or the clamp is slightly different, they're no longer following the Mitsubishi guide.
If Mitsubishi is paying them X for the warranty work, and they're doing X + or - Y, some dealerships will want you to pay. And some won't, if they like you, or you have a working relationship with them, or the manager is your dad, or you gave them head prior to the install.
Hell, when I took my car in, they mentioned I had *REMOVED THE PLASTIC COVER*. I was like, why yes, yes I did. Clearly, my dealerships sucks, and I hate them.

The real problem is that Mitsu probably pays them just enough to eat and not enough to make any money. That was true when I was a computer repair field tech doing warranty work and I have no doubt that it is true with cars. Spending a few extra minutes on any significant percentage of customers really can pose a problem.
Its called having the right tools. You use a torque wrench on your t-bolts clamps? I highly doubt it. I work on cars for a living not just a hobby, I have every wobble head ratchet and socket ever sold.
corporate without scarring the isht out of them. But they definately deserve to squirm for being scum. Plus they'll probably end up kissing your ace afterwards. Ufck the dealership, that's basically what they said about you.
my dad works at mitsu so they changed his there, and then 5,000 miles later the idiot that changed mine didnt record it, so when i took my RA for an inspection, they changed it AGAIN, lol go firgure? and i had an intake and HKS SSQV installed, some of these techs are redic.
