mitsubishi denied my fuel line recall
I think they were upset about me having an aftermarket cat-back and it was extra for some reason or another with the fuel line recall...
I was tired and in no real mood to argue so I paid the 20 bucks...

There is a modified list the dealerships can put you on, it's what they cal flagging the car. I have a mitsubishi dealership as 1 of my customers, so this is where I take my car (+1 for making good relationships). They do not need to remove the UICP for the fuel line recall. I f'd my pipe and asked the guy I know who works on the evo's at the dealership not to remove it, he said no problem he didn't need to and I watched him do it. Ultimately it would be wise to get it done because if your car does burn to the ground and insurance (even bigger scam artists then mitsubishi) can put the blame on not having the recall, bye bye car and no insurance.
I noticed you're from jersey, I live in Brooklyn but actually bought my car from Maywood. Do you know any places that are mod friendly? Also if you get blacklisted does your car go on the system for all the dealerships databases or just the one that denied you warranty?
Dude that sucks and that is BS. I toke my car to the dealership to get the recalls taken care of. At the time I had a AP CBE, AMS HFC, AMS CAI, AMS FMIC w/ Piping, and they did the recalls for me for free.
My dealership here told me according to the manual, everything in front of the turbo can be changed by the book, without limiting warranty. so just cause you got those simple mods doesn't stop them from doing their job! They just being retarded ******
To those who have not done or fix this recall, get IT DONE!!!!Very important. I have ignored that recall, by new years time, bracket actually broke the fuel line and it was spraying gas all over the place. It smelled so bad that fixing it took them a few minutes and cleaning the engine bay took them hours. OH yeah, I had the injen intake and upper pipe in it. Had no issues with the dealer.
FWIW it appears that it is UR dealership that is the problem, not the UICP or CAI. I agree with others that the dealership has to install safety issues under warranty regardless of the mod's. I would go back to them, assuming there is not another dealership nearby, and raise three points: (1)many if not all, including myself have had dealerships replace the fuel line segments despite the existence of the mods U have (copy the posts herein as proof) and (2) there is no added time/expense in the install because of UR mods and (3) U can bring (1) and (2) to Mitsu corp's attention and the fact that this dealership will not install this mandatory safety TSB. I would bring these facts to the head of service and the owner/manager of the dealership; if they reconsider, U are done; if they say no, get it in writing and definitely send to Mitsu. If the latter, I feel certain U can find another dealership that will install this mod; it takes < one hour.

The other semi-current one is the "AWC ECU reflash", for cold weather states.
