mitsubishi denied my fuel line recall
i pretty much figured they would but, i had some free time on saturday to do it. after 2 hours of waiting the technician told me they could not do it because of the aftermarket intake and upper pipe,
the intake is a nessi 1 piece pipe and the intake is AEM every thing else is stock, it would take him no more time more then with the OEM parts
they told me mitsubishi doesnt pay them for the extra time to take off aftermarket parts
so for now i drive it without having the recall done,

I hate dealers, corporations and ..you can mention....
now. i think in this case, they deserve to charge you some extra bucks for the extra time.
it happen exactly the same to me. but the guy came in a realy good way, explaining to me all the inconveniences of a rigid upper pipe to unistall vs the 2 screws removal stock upper pipe. we agree that 30 minutes more would be fine for the upper pipe. even if he can do it in five. i know.
sometimes we have to look to the side, pass by as a stupid and obtain what you want. i would pay $40 with my eyes closed vs start a discusion with a manager, increase my blood preasure, sign a complain with mitsubishi and walk out of the dealer two hours latter without my recall done. marking my car as "modified" on the files, and spend the rest of the month waiting for a call or letter from mitsubishi.

this is why i'm hesitant to bring my car in for any type of recalls. I don't want to be added to the blacklist...I don't think these recalls are worth returning my car to stock. curious to see who else has had this problem.
