Panel popped out

I was at Home Depot 10 minutes ago and when I was walking back to my car I noticed that one of the panels popped out.

I don't know how this happened. Whatever the case there are no scratches, paint chips, or dents. Can I fix this myself or should I go to the dealership? It looks like someone just has to clip it back in, but after working with the front bumper I know that these clips are a *****. This is NJ and the past week has been a complete mess with snow (saturday and yesterday).

From what i can see it looks like there is marks on both the fender and the bumper? The darker areas look like drag marks from another vehicle. If this isn't the case and it just popped out you should be able to push it back in, if not dealer time..

Same thing happened to me last week, when i had a small incident in a parking lot. I just popped it back in myself. Just give it a little force and it'll snap back in.

Someone hit your for sure, maybe not hard but they did. It would not pop out on its own.

yea i backed into a wooden pole real slow and did the exact same thing on the same side to my panel. no scratches though so i was relieved and i just popped it back in. two layers of klasse before the winter hit certainly helped

Maybe a piece of ice or snow you ran over or got thrown under the evo. I don't see damage on the outside maybe it was popped out from the inside. One of my friends ran over a piece of a semi tire and it popped his rear fender out well.

Same thing happened to my Lancer GTS a year ago. I just pressed and it popped right back in. No biggie.

Yep you were hit. Always park far from others when in lots. You may look like douche, but it saves you a headache. BTW for something so simple why go to the dealer? Just pop it back in....
