wingless or not?
Might be worth a look before you whip your wing off https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...olution-x.html
lose the wing, it looks better without it. Although you do have an X and the stock wing looks far more reasonable than the IX and VIII.
You'll never know the difference without the wing considering perfromance unless you're a "track star".
Go wingless, you'll never go back

If I were buying a X, I'd opt for the SSS package and wouldn't even think of taking the big wing off. Performance-wise, it wouldn't make a difference, but it would make a difference to me. The wing on my IX is staying put. FWIW, I'm 46 and probably look more conservative than most folks here.

I have both the SSS Wing and just the lip spoiler. I like the way it looks without but seems like a lancer. Unless you want a sleeper I like the fact I drive an Evo, not the lancer
The problem is if i take it off im welding up the holes and having it painted and tomorrow is the day i have to decide by i know i wont miss it unless i can feel it when doing some real spirited driving i prefer the look without and i have the sss package
Well I'm going wingless. I'm one of those fortunate enough to have a color that's near impossible to find a wingless version of (WW is actually common among wingless Lancers just from what I see around town).
I bought a brand new, unpainted wingless trunk and a brand new, pre-painted OEM lip spoiler. I still have to get the trunk painted, but it will be extremely smooth with no worries of filling in holes.
Sometime down the road I might pick up a second trunk if I'm feeling baller enough, and it will be the Do-Luck REPLICA and I'll probably get a giant ricer wing like the Voltex 1700mm and drill it right into that nice duckbill trunk. At that point I'd also be keeping the wingless trunk, and swap between the two for track days or car shows or just daily driving.

i took my wing off for a day...did not like it. made the rear very plain looking. like the other guy said 8/9 looks better without a wing. the x rear is just flat without one but the small wing also makes it look kinda off. im actually looking into getting a universal wing.
