My car is in the body shop right now getting some new paint and im really considering going wingless Im 38 years old and Im not big on the flair the wing gives the car im more into sleepers but i dont want to loose performance. Do any of you guys have any thoughts bassed on performance, Anyone who has taken there wing off im really interested to get your opinion on the difference in downforce

No wing better mileage and will look like a budget Lancer ES with a body kit. With wing you will attract the young'in's and have better handling at speeds above 70+ mph.

I don't think Evos look right without the wing. Just me though.

It's an endless debate and it always comes down to preference.

I'd never own an Evo without a wing. Ever.

I'll be 37 next month.
I have the SSS and like the wing. To me, it just doesn't look like an Evo without it.

It all boils down to what you like and what you want. I like my wing, and will leave it on there. Evos are known for the wings, vg's, and big front mount with wide fenders. I love it all.

I think the 8s and 9s looked good without the wing, but the X looks better with it.

Make this a poll, should be interesting. My vote is No Wing.

Does anyone know how much downforce our wings produce at any given mph is there anywhere to find this info?

The wingless pics floating around the show and shine threads had me thinking the same thing. I'm also a proponent for wingless but with the Do-Luck trunk=badass!

I like my wing! What makes an evo and gives it that killer stance is the wing,so for me its staying on.

Me too. I understand the goal behind a lip spoiler making the car look more "mature"... but to me an EVO isn't an EVO without an appropriate wing. The rear lip spoiler isn't bad but I think the EVO looks better with the wing.

Is it easy to take the wing off or would it be impractical to take it on and off every once in a while?
