I work in a collision shop. If its not totalled it'd be a miracle. The cars total out around 17-20k (75% adjusted value). You've set sail far beyond 10k without even getting picky. Glad you're ok tho. I see so many cars hit trucks. The truck wins EVERY time. Trailer hitches dont move and steel bumpers dont go anywhere either.

Holy crap. Sucks man!! These are the accidents I've always thought the Evo would be great at avoiding. Having better brakes than most cars on the road, rear ending someone is difficult. Did you just not have the time to react quickly enough?

Sorry to hear and glad you're okay. Hopefully insurance co. doesn't give you the run around. Thats crazy that airbags are 3k each to replace.

I've had a couple of close calls on the Evo on one specific area that is part of my DD route to/from work. A couple of junctions where (3) freeways interconnect, constantly busy & traffic is fast... the Evo's agility has always saved me from these close calls everytime (hopefully it stays that way).

That first pic reminds me of Terminator 2 when Arnold gets all fu**ed up at the end. Glad you made it out OK. What happened? Were you not looking at the road and then that truck suddenly stopped on you going 30 mph?

wow that really sucks. at least you're ok. too bad there wasn't more damage to the silverado. would be an easier pill to swallow if you knew your car took another one down with it

This is gonna sound lame, but damn it, I literally had my fingers crossed, hoping it wouldn't be a GG evo before opening the thread...................and it turned out to be a GG. This is officially the unluckiest color in the X. Too many incidents I've been seeing recently involving the gray ones, not just accidents, but frying clutches etc.

Similar thing happened to me on my camry while driving to work about 1.5 years back in pittsburgh. A moron in a Dodge Ram 1500 hit me in the back and I got nudged under the MDX in front of me. It was stop and go traffic, dunno how he hit me do hard. The car was lowered 1.5 inches and the front hood pretty much bent out of shape almost identical to your's. But no airbags, phew !!! Since then, I've begun to view people driving Dodge Rams as idiots and camrys as suckers. I still own the camry

That blows man! I drive a GG and have already had a real close call in it but the car basiclly saved my ***.

Hopefully my GG will be an exception to the statements above.
