Bumper Guards?
Bumper Guards?
I occasionally have to park in the city - stress "have". Drives me crazy every time.
I saw one of these the other day and thought it was a great idea. It folds out when you need it and protects the rear bumper cover. Attaches to the inside of the trunk, securing it when closed. Open it up and throw it in when you drive away.
But, the more I thought about it the more I wondered if it would just draw the attention of the local kids/bar crowd and attract vandalism.
Am I being paranoid? Anyone ever use one?

in my adolescent days with a steel bumpered beater, something like that would have been an invitation to bump, or at the least made me less cautious. id go with the previous poster who mentioned tow hooks. esp nowadays with every car having a plastic bumper, a little hard steel can go a long way to deterring contact
Okay, so the bumperbully protects your rear bumper.. but they make nothing to protect from people backing in to the front of your car, which I imagine would be more common due to poorer visibility when using your mirrors.
And +1 to Charlie.. I can see this becoming a target for some.

uhh, you're going to look like an 80 year old lady's cutlass with bumper protectors. I agree with others tho, I think it'll invite a less-careful attitude from others versus the desired affect.
