Yeah at first I was kinda thnking "WTF?!". But after having it back, that little flap hasn't come down at all to become an eye sore, so it's good enough for me.

It will soon enough, I did the same myself, went ahead and removed the staple after pushing it back in a few times (couple times a week), then kept tucking the little material flap under the plastic insert over and over. Till I finally went into the dealer....

Hmm... they took my car and paid for a rental! Sent the X to an upholster shop and I was burning rubber in a Yaris. Painless process for the most part.

I'm still waiting for the dealership to call me and let me know when a "rep" is gonna look at my car. I called mitsu motors corporate and I have a claim with them as well. Its a load of crap that I have to go through all of this. Did anyone else have to do all this???

My driver seat has the staple popping out now at the head rest. Very annoying and tacky. Looks like it will be a drive to the Mitsubishi dealership to have it either replaced or 100% properly repaired. It is ridiculous that its even an issue...another corner cut by Mitsubishi. I also have parts of the leather that has pealed away/wore away, and I only have 13k on my car...sad...

That is way too much for insurance.
I was beside myself when my 06 Evo came in the same as my 04 GT3.

B.S, but it is what it is. $438.00 every 6 months for full coverage.

I'm just going with some Status Racing seats - Ring GTs and call it a day. Lighten up the load a little bit. Unless I can find a quality shop to do a quality upholster job on my seats which I've been having a hard time finding any shop to do a quality job on my Evo since I've bought it, to include the dealership

might check the EVO 9 forums. This thread was about the seats on the X, and the last post was over a year ago....

SoCal Mitsu, my local dealer, has been really awesome to me. I always take my stuff there for servicing and they had no problems getting my car sent out to have it repaired. The repair job looks infinitely better; thats how it should've come from the factory.
