2011 Model Year Evo X
2011 Model Year Evo X
Does anybody know when the 2011 model year will be released (or can guess from previous model years)? I am thinking about buying the evo but I can wait if the 2011 is coming out soon.
As a newb to this forum, I tried searching first but I couldn't find anything. I also tried searching to see if there are any known (or rumored) upgrades coming in 2011 but I couldn't find that either (only a thread with a wishlist for 2011/2012 changes). Anybody have an ideas or guesses to this?

Just in case you don't know, Evo's are released every other year in the US. So far for the X there is the 2008 and 2010 model. There will be 2010 Evo X's still sitting on dealer lots come 2012.
I don't understand.
I haven't been following the evo that closely the last few years, but I thought 2009 was the only model year they ever skipped.

The Evo 8s and 9s were released every year. Every model year, that is.
The Evo X has been unique in the fact they "skipped" 2009 here in the States.
Seeing as how they did a whole new trim package (MR-T) in 2010, I kind of doubt they'll do too much for the next model year release. The most I can see is maybe an integration of FUSE or something in the MR-T, and as an option for the GSR or something.
I doubt we'd see any mechanical changes. Let alone mechanical changes we actually give a damn about. We're not going to see "less rattles" or "a diff that doesn't fall apart" or "a TC-SST that doesn't **** the bed" or "a non-notchy 5 speed" or, God forbid, a "6 speed normal manual"
