is blitz and gruppe the only ones out there with a carbon intake?
dont like the design much or the price.

did a search and couldnt find anyone else.

i might have posted this in the wrong section. maybe show and shine would have been better

Coltspeed makes one (LINK), although unlike the GruppeM, the duct and radiator panel are sold separately (part #'s CSD0104-034 & CSD0104-059).

Also, Rexpeed makes a CF intake duct and radiator panel (LINK & LINK) for much cheaper, but it doesn't include an actual air filter or intake assembly.

If I didn't mind blowing over a grand on an intake, I'd definitely pick up the GruppeM or maybe the Coltspeed (GruppeM seems to have better fitment). Or maybe for a cheaper route, I'd get both Rexpeed pieces with the duct routed into the stock air filter or maybe an AEM box (looks like it'd fit, but not sure).

Dry carbon intake box and radiator panel and OEM-like perfect fitment and it's overpriced. Just no pleasing some people.

What exactly are you looking for? Between the HKS Kansai box, Blitz carbon box, and Gruppe M, all of them are "ugly and overpriced"? There's really no other options.

Lol.. the GruppeM and Coltspeed look top notch imo, just a little overpriced.

Thanks Brem.. didn't realize that HKS made a CF duct as well, but found it at the Kansai Service website (LINK). Can't seem to find any available in the US.. just the HKS suction kit, minus the CF duct.

Also, does anyone know if there's a compatible AEM dry filter that could be used to replace the K&N oiled filter that comes with the GruppeM box??

The FR-0985A is 195 x 123mm and kinda oddly shaped..

Probably not since that K&N is made specifically for that intake... Don't want to use oiled filters anymore?

I don't have the GruppeM, still 100% stock at the moment.. but my plans are to stay away from oiled filters (and hopefully any MAF sensor issues). Just thought that kit w/an AEM dry filter would make a nice setup. Ah well =)

Ah okay. I had the Gruppe M, great intake. I opted for the HKS filter until I went for the HKS intake with Kansai box, and my MAF went while the HKS filter was in. The MAFs are junk.

APR makes a CF duct/radiator panel as well if the duct is all you're looking for.

I think rexpeed makes the duct also.
