Keep this civil guys...

I think we can all agree that the premise of the show was pretty promising, but the execution was poor to say the least. Picking a non-Evo driver to represent the largest Evo forum on the internet was very questionable. Take it easy on the guy though, it's really not that huge of a deal...

You calling the Evo driver a "looser" really added to the discussion. My apologies...

Thanks for contributing again though.

That would be like me running an STI that I borrowed from a friend, crashed on the course because I understeered into a wall and claimed I was representing NASIOC even though i had only created a user account on there.

But hey... now that EvoM is being invaded by subbies.... welcome

i'm not sure why evo owners take this 'loss' so seriously. did royal purple have a cool idea? yeah but they turned their battle into a shamockery of real sti vs evo (or vice versa) battles. had the sti lost, i wouldn't care because the whole execution of the show was **** poor.

you guys think the evo driver is embarrassed when he doesn't care at all it seems that other evo owners are more embarrassed because their precious evo lost to a sti. yeah he owns a sti, but regardless of that fact, his driving in the evo was still subpar and reflects on his driving not the car. you guys are focusing so hard on him representing evom even though the whole show was lame and was more a representation of how ****ty royal purple is.

some of you evo owners in the area should take him up on his challenge

You fail at reading comprehension

The biggest issue isnt the fact he lost to an STI, as we have said numerous NUMEROUS times. Its the fact that he posed as an evo owner and a member of EvoM (you know, the actual forum that was supposedly on 'Forum Wars') when neither was true. I dont give a **** that he was possibly the ****tiest driver to touch an evo. The fact that he faked being a part of a community and owning a car he didnt is what we care about.

In a straight up match where both forums were represented properly and both drivers drove their actual cars... and if the STI won, I would have no problem congratulating them and I am sure the same goes for most of the other EvoM members.

Next time do I need to write it in crayon for you to understand?

at least the sti guys aren't being douches and using it as an excuse for why their car is better.

there's the occasional snide comment but they're being civil and honest about it. that's more than I can say for some of you bashing the evo driver.

what i'm trying to get at is...why are you guys so up in arms about him posing as an evo owner and representing evom when this whole forumwars production isn't a representation of cars at battle at all...instead it just shows how ****ty royal purple is? all of us agree royal purple did a **** job with this whole production and the representatives were all mismatched. the guys over at my350z are up in arms too because they lost and the 350z owner put the car together in under a week i don't understand why people are taking this **** so seriously when it was a half-assed attempt to generate revenue for a ****ty oil company.

next time, don't get so butthurt over something so lame. put that down in crayon

it's easy to see the cars are mismatched and we all realized it was a joke competition. besides, we gotta stay humble cause we got a ways to go to catch up to the sierra sierra evo and that damn cobb gtr

Again, no one is here to talk about the STI being better or worse than the EVO. We are actually being quite civil and honest to say the least. Sam is even getting some slight bashing on their thread.

If this were reversed and I took out a friends STI and ran like dog sh*t, remember we are talking severely UNDER average driving skills both on the drag strip and the shortcourse they set up..... I would expect NASIOC or whoever I was supposedly representing to be in an uproar.

It not a big deal that he lost, someone has to lose but he represented a community he isn't a part of.....and did a **** poor job as well.

When you spend countless hours and thousands of dollars on something that you take pride in.... how is someone not supposed to be "butt hurt" over it being misrepresented, regardless of the **** company or their media company doing it?

Its a mockery of what I take pride in.

If a homeless guy took a big ol greasy **** on your car, smeared it all over your windshield and let it soak into your engine bay... would you get butthurt? Thats kind of where we are coming from. Some punk smeared our forums name and cars name with ****.

Time to bust out the crayon or should we swap out to braille for the reading impaired?

It all comes down to us being treated as dupes. Not just the Evo folks, the whole high-performance community. The media firm representing RP essentially faked a series of contests in hopes of promoting their employer's product. That's the crux of the matter. Now it's up to us to respond accordingly by not buying, not recommending, and discouraging everyone imaginable from using Royal Purple products.
