Well like you said there's people who autox or track their car on a regular basis, I'm sure we'll see some of them and we can compare lap times. I think what you'll find is a lot different from what you saw on that silly Royal Purple show.

We'll be at Spring Mountain in the middle of May for SV; I'm doing the S2000 Challenge in stock class and Jon is doing EVO vs STI.

Got a big mouth? Here's your chance. Bring it.
Your a moron and you showed it on TV. And yes, if I were still in CA, I would embarrass you, I don't mean to trash talk, but you seriously need to take some race schools and do plenty more track time.

I have auto x'd an s2k, sti, 03 cobra, even an infitinity g35 coupe. Done "significant" time on the road course with my evo IX, done I dont know how many track days on the bikes. And yes, raced with the MRA out here.

And yeah, I know how to launch a car, on nasioc I had the 04' STI under the name "slo sti" got 12.69 @ 108 with a 1.69 60' time with a stock car with a blitz exhaust, no tune, nothing else.

You being on the show just proves how fake the show really is. Bring your STI, tell the show that you will run your STI against someone with an EVO that knows a little something about driving. And at least my trash talk to you will be LEGITIMATE, Since your so interested in TV time. I would drive to CA for that......

Can't really 100% blame the OP for wanting to be on TV even though he is actually a Subie guy and doesn't really belong to our forum. Royal Purple, on the other hand, is the evil behind this, they thought they could boost their sales by putting up this crap BS show. A lot of Evo & Z owners are now going to turn their backs on them.

Dont lie... you dont go to the track. If you did you would have atleast had the basic knowledge of driving. Hell, watch yourself take the corners on the course and tell me you didnt park it like an old lady. Atleast your buddy was pushing hard and letting the car understeer like the STI's typically do. You just seemed to be cruising like you were drivin miss daisy.

And yeah, talking big in a nation wide forum saying "come here and prove it" is pretty safe for you considering I live quite a ways away and spending money to come shut up some pansy *** big talking slow drivin ruhtard is quite unlikely.

You wanted "camera time" while fake representing a community that you obviously have no part in.... so now you get to reap the rewards of everyone bashing you for being the poser you are.

You know, im almost positive this douche lost on purpose. I mean, he owns a subie... why would he try to win with a EVO and do wrong his forums name?
Secondly, his damn excuses didn't even make sense!!!! why the **** would you say the he has a advantage over you because of a wing.... come on man your girls evolution has that humoungous thing on the trunk - did you miss that? Have you tried using the rear view mirror? i mean it covers half your rear windshield...

Making excuses is for *****es but messing with a forums rep is worse when you don't even own the f'ing car...

That was may favorite part.

I'd like to know why there were grownups participating in the other contests, as we got this?

I still wanna know how this retard didnt catch on that the brakes are the same except that the evo has bigger calipers and rotors. Apparently our brembo's arent "race brakes"... man I should go back to the dealer and get my money back!

To clarify the race brakes, just because you have Brembos doesn't mean the pads are the same. If you're using race pads, it's going to stop a lot different than stock pads. For example if you're using Project Mu 999s, it's going to stop a lot faster than stock pads despite having the same rotors and calipers.

Nobody feels good about losing, but my friend is a better driver and it is what it is.

And your still avoiding the questions.... Why the hell would you rep a forum that YOU DONT EVEN BELONG IN???...

Just so you can get some t.v time? dude seriously, you better not come around here and give excuses because the way i see it - you asked for this..

Clearly, hence why they should've chosen someone else and who actually owns an Evo.

How the hell did you get chosen anyway?

Hey if you guys want to flame me go ahead. I'm just trying my best to give you my side of the story. It's not like I have to come on the forum and explain myself; I could just not say anything.

I think I already addressed your question in an earlier post... The guy organizing the cars for the show told Jon they didn't find an EVO to run him, so Jon said oh I have a friend who can get an EVO. So I offerred to go for fun.

Looks like you're in the LA area. Come out to any Speedventure track events and we'll show you that we're not slow drivers. I'm not saying we're the best drivers, but I think we're doing alright.

"Silly Royal Purple Show" - finally, we agree on something.

You know, in spite of all the harsh criticism we've been giving him, Samleeiii has been taking the hits fairly and competently. We do have to give him a credit for not backlashing at us and turning this into a two-sided flame war. I think that he's had enough criticism from us.

I agree with whoever said that we should be focusing our disgust not on the driver, but rather on the organizer, Royal Purple. Down with RP!

Thanks I appreciate that. I joined evom back in 2009 and have always wanted an EVO9 SE. It's not like I don't like EVOs. I've actually sold my STI recently. Believe me my goal wasn't to lose, but I took a car out that wasn't mine that I didn't have any seat time in with the intent of having fun and yeah I lost.

But on the other hand, I can understand how you all feel, which admittedly I originally did not consider when I decided to do the show. At the time I thought oh cool, free tv time, and I get to have fun driving my g/f's car which I don't really drive around much (I think my STI was down at the time, lol, I don't remember).

And because of that, I can see why everyone's upset, so it's not like I'm trying to say hey that's unfair. I'm sympathetic with where you're coming from, but I don't want to make it sound like I'm a total sucker. The run they showed of me wasn't even my hot lap, but my first lap on their course.

So I guess the point I'm making, we do go to the track, we drive our cars the way it's meant to be driven, and you can see that if you go out to an event with us. We're super friendly, we all just are out there to have fun.

I'm going to be competing in the S2000 Challenge stock class with Speedventures in Pahrump next month. I'll let you guys know how I do so you know I'm not a complete tool.

Jon has a few years of seat time on me and he's a pretty good driver. He took 2nd at Redline Time Attack Willow Springs last year in Stock Class. His car actually barely makes 300whp, what Royal Purple put on there was incorrect.

Sam,

Like you said... pads make a difference... but on that course they wouldnt. What pads did your buddy have? Oh and give us the truth and not some BS. Still stock eh? If you didnt know you were outpowered and thought you actually had more AWHP than he did, i doubt you have a clue on anything else.

So really now... what dates have you ran with your speedventures folks? You forget that they post all the results up on their website and we do have forum members who are also on there.

Oh and just to say this as well. Im glad you are taking your hits but you gotta realize that by representing this forum and that car, you are representing me... and that really pisses me off.
