Evo X on The Forum Wars [merge]
LOL. So let me get this straight. The guy drives an STi but he took his girlfriends car to drive against his buddy with a built suspension STi.
And I thought the show idea was awesome... Now I see how wrong I was.

I was expecting better performance from both, the evo AND the STi. Infact more from the STi guy since he is modded to a good degree+has experience. After the first 2 shows I realized that this forum warz is just a 'joke'...nothing good's going to happen by reacting like a baby and boycotting Royal purple products (they suck anyways lol). It is required to speak trash about the rival (ratings), not be super serious. Also coilover's are not required, I mean look @ the track, it's designed by a monkey or something..it's horrible. Anywho its something good to watch while topgear is not around.
lol i was the one driving the white evo x. all that was done to it was a tbe and tune, that's it. oh and some tires that had been sitting for like a year, although relatively fresh tread wear wise. the evo x is actually my g/f's car; at the time i was driving an 08 sti. kind of ironic.
my buddy was driving the black 08 sti. he had tbe, headers, uppipe, kw suspension, front lip, rear spoiler, race pads, recaro bucket seats, 6 pt harnesses, 18x9.5 wheels, re-11 tires.
i've signed some mumbo jumbo where i can't reveal much about the show, but hopefully the episode proves to be entertaining for you all.
i'm sure there's a ton of people who would've been a better representation of the evom community, but to be honest, i had the opportunity to go, and i went for it.
who's going to deny tv time right?

I know this is just a friendly little competition, but seriously, this is the biggest fail I have ever read. You're an STi driver; you don't even belong here. You should have let your girlfriend drive; even if she didn't do as well, at least she would have done a better job representing this forum by being a legitimate owner.
"my car is gonna do better in the drag because it has 30 wheel power over the sti"
Wow... fail comparison. Did you not look over your competitors stats?
You fail at representing... and why didnt RP post up on the forums looking for a competitor? I dont buy the "we couldnt find an evo guy with similar mods" bull****. Its SoCal... TONS of guys with similar and MORE done. Hell... a stock evo probably could have outdone that sexually transmitted infection with a real driver... not some half *** who drives his wifes car.
Then you said you had some excuses like the STI had a wing... does yours not? That big *** thing on the back... is that some sort of sail off a boat? And he has "race brakes"??? WTF DO YOU HAVE?!?!?
Your launch... did neither of you see the green light and even attempt a two step? Ive taken off faster over a speed bump heading into a grocery store! So pathetic! Not to mention your horrible road course skills.
Has your girlfriend left you yet in search of someone who can actually back up the trash talk and knows how to drive? Maybe next time SHE should drive the show.

I understand all your excuses... but please tell me the part about the car being your Girlfriend is BS.... even if its not, please say it is some bs, that way I'll feel a bit better about you driving that Evo on those curves at 20mph and taking in close-*** curves and coming out wide as hell on like 3rd gear with no built-boost to help you fly out of there... I mean it clearly looks like you've never been on a closed course but did you at least ever played NFS or GT at least once?

whatever good stuff man, at least you had fun and got to come out on TV... well, not exactly, more like online TV

i'm not even going to watch it! i don't want to be so upset like the rest of you!
First of all, we were asked to do as much **** talking as possible, whether it made any sense or not. Second, it was a friendly competition for my friend and I.
And finally, if you want to talk, come out to Speedventures EVO VS STI Challenge any event of the year and bring it in Street Class. Then we'll see how good of a driver YOU are.
We'll be at Spring Mountain in the middle of May for SV; I'm doing the S2000 Challenge in stock class and Jon is doing EVO vs STI.
Got a big mouth? Here's your chance. Bring it.

We're not the fastest drivers around, but we do go to the track. I'm not talking trash, but if you think you're that much faster, come out to EVO vs STI with Speedventures and we'll find out. If you're faster, it's going to show in the times and there's nothing else to say, lol.
