Subaru's are clearly a better machine.

 

I was kind of excited to see this episode. It's too bad it was weak as hell.

 

1. The evo has like 80 less HP and no suspension mods.

2. I think if he had a MR it would be a little easier to handle.

3...better driver.

 

lmao, his 'launch' at the drag strip looked like he just let out the clutch @ 2k RPM and bogged. And the cone driving.. pathetic. I probably could have kept up with that driving a rental Cobalt.

So seriously...talk about a good idea gone wrong.

It starts with: "hey guys, lets find some very serious car loyalists, and put them against each other in similarly-designed cars".

It becomes: "Hey guys, let's put a Mustang with a seasoned driver against a guy in a 350z, that has 4 days to put a car together with junkyard parts"...and "Let's find a couple Subaru owners at SEMA, and say that one represents Evos...it's close enough...right?"

So many things wrong...First and foremost, how do they get away with saying that this guy represents Evom site? He's an STI owner that has a few posts under his name...absolutely ridiculous.

To Royal Purple: Whoever in marketing thought of this whole thing has made a critical mistake. You're alienating a good deal of your customers when you put together really lame shows like this...

Yeah there is some discrepancy between the listed numbers and what is quoted in the video. The Evo driver claims he has 30hp more on the STI, the STI driver claims he is just stage 2 but then looking at the listed specs, the STI apparently has a boat load more power.

It's unclear what the suspension mods were.

Isn't the GSR supposed to be quicker?

Anyhow these are just for entertainment. A great premise with average execution. I wouldn't get so worked up about it. You know we own you.

That was weak though for real, I don't mind the loss but atleast lose while trying. I could've done better in my RA with these POS Advan A10 tires.

I wonder if the 1/8 mile runs are somewhat restricted because mines were faster stock.
