does anyone make a front splitter that works with the factory aero kit?

I want to remove the little rubber strip off the front of my aero kit and I want a front splitter. I noticed APR has a front splitter that is basically what I want...but...will it fit?

any ideas guys?

I want a front splitter with my aero kit

I was kinda looking in to this a while back, didn't find anything unfortunately...

On second thought, that was very fortunate for my wallet.

APR has 2 splitters for the Evo X...one that fits the stock non-aero bumper, and one that fits with the factory aero kit.

I would not advise adding only a front splitter. It will upset the aero balance of the car making it oversteer at high speeds. This leads to bad things like crashing at high speeds. You should add more rear downforce to compensate.

I have the APR splitter & wing waiting to go on. The splitter install sounds like it sucks but I'll get to it at some point this Summer.

well i have the large oem rear wing and the car understeers stock anyway...so do you think it would really be that bad?

The understeer is easy to tune out with a rear sway bar change, don't need a front splitter for that.

Just a front splitter though can significantly alter the handling of the car. In this case, towards oversteer which is more dangerous.

k, thanks

ill wait on it until i get some crazy voltex rear wing or something, lol

and i already have a larger rear sway and the coils going on the car are 10k front, 12k rear....so the splitter alone probably would be excessive

great...now youre going to have me scoping out rear wings...

I'm considering this APR Front Splitter for my car on the One Lap of America event. I do have the Aero kit on my car so the larger wing should help counter the extra downforce up front. After the latest alignment changes for less toe out up front the car is super stable in the turns and still has good turn in.

I was thinking of possibly fabbing up some spacers for the factory rear wing to give me an extra 5* angle to increase rear downforce without resorting to an entirely new aftermarket wing setup. While not as good as a full swap it should counter the additional downforce from a front splitter with minimal increased drag. By my estimates the car will already be close to RPM limited on the front stretch of Road America so until I get longer gears I may as well get more grip in the high speed turns in exchange.

I'll probably be fine with what I have but it seems like it could work. Any thoughts?
