HOW many people dread the mitsu dealership.
The only reason I got my X where I did was because I didn't want to travel hours to another dealer. I know a lot of you will, but I'm not a fan boy enough to do that. Anyways, I didnt like dealing with them then, and now they're going out of business, imagine that. I went with the reflash TSBs and got the same thing as the above, "Doesnt exist". Really? I called the dealer in DC and he was like "Yea man we've done a couple. Want us to call them for you?". But, only thing that sucks now is I can't get warranty work done beacuse they're going out of business on the warranty/sales front. So essentially, nothing conveniant about the whole damn process.
edit: not to mention they hacked my dashboard up replacing the air vents that have broken about 5 times. I eventually just gave up on it, among many other things.

I feel really comfortable at one Mitsu dealership around my area. Took me months look for a nice place with "evos enthusiasts". All guys are young, they know every single aftermarket brand, they mod their cars, and know how to keep the client confidence, sometimes I just prefer go there to change my oil to talk for a while about cars vs. do it my self. So my point is:
It’s not a “Mitsubishi” issue that you feel bad, it’s the human factor, guys trying to jump to higher positions, envy, etc, I can smell that **** as soon I start talking with someone, unfortunately you will find that almost everywhere. Find the proper place with the proper guys and you will be set.
About the service prices, well, it is what it is. For a warranty work, the experience, the right tools and the specialists taking care of your car you have to pay and save some money for it.
I’m 40 years old and I can tell you stories of bad experiences for hours in every single place, from guys selecting the wrong oil for my car at pep boys to Hummer dealerships charging $150/hour for work, ford, Chrysler, there is no perfect place, and get use to, as soon they change the manager for a "more responsible one" is time to you to fly to another place. lol

Hmm, this should be interesting, where do we start.
1) Bought car at Stohlman Mitsubishi in NOVA before I knew they were jerks. It was the only dealership that had an SSS GG GSR in early 2008 in a 250 mile radius.
2) Had to deal with them for drivetrain noise when making full lock turns once engine was warm. After 4 visits, they diagnosed it as engine mounts going bad, 3 of 4.
3) Said they would replace one under warranty and the other two would be on me. I just got the one replaced after 2 more visits and a big fight with the service manager and the DSM, both of 'em *** holes if you ask me. Don't know squat about how to talk to a customer.
4) Contacted corporate to tell the story, they then made them replace the other 2 mounts. They did it reluctantly.
5) Got towed for messing up my brake job, the towing company scraped my front lip spoiler. The dealership did not do a condition check when car was received, so I was left without the front lip rubber liner AGAIN!
6) They lost my plastic clips that hold the under tray and tried to make it sound like it was my fault.
There's a lot of stuff I left out in this list, but long story short, since they are the only dealership within decent driving range, they were my only representation of MITSUBISHI as a company, and they sucked. I know better now.
I have all my stuff done at one of the shops supporting the community rather than one of these warranty ****** (dealerships).
Mitsubishi sucks as a car company in terms of service, they make a super awesome car. That's it. as self-contradictory as it may sound, that's the damned truth about Mitsubishi.

****!!! ALL Mitsu dealers. They suck and try to rape you every twist of a wrench. Stay AWAY - pray to run out your warranty to not have to deal with those d-bags.

maybe Mitsubishi treats all their Evo owners like **** so that we will go out and mod our cars... I dunno, it'd be sweet if they all went out of business and my lease was abolished. Then all current Evo owners would have rare cars. Then I could take my car to a shop and go *****-to-the-wall with it...
Unrealistic I know... but a guy can dream...
P.S.
Suck my *** mitsu service dept.
I wonder if the service is better in Japan. If it is i'll move back...

Wait before you make another comment, i just realized what i want to do with my life! Im going to go to high school then a community college and get a degree in english. Then im going to go hunting for websites with bad grammer to make my self feel better about my wasted college expierence? AND CORRECT THEM ALL!!!! Make a difference you go buddy! your doing great. Its awesome when your the only person to complain isnt it? Or basic logic would tell any one with an IQ above that of a dog, at this point you should go to another post and edit their grammer.
also FJF fanboy much?
I'm surprised to read so many of you don't like your dealerships. Our dealer (Ron Marhofer, Akron OH) was excellent. Other than a few minor details that I've called them out on and they have corrected immidiately, they've done a phenominal job.
While I don't plan on going back to them for simple things such as oil changes (those are easy DIYs), I have no doubt they'll treat us well when we do go back. Thumbs up for Ron Marhofer! If you go ask for EVO-Matt.

I have a whole story I could go through but I'll save it for later. Let's just say that I'm doing everything I can to avoid going back there. The last time I took my car to Mitsu it was to replace a water pump and it took them 2 1/2 weeks and ever since I got the car back it almost stalls out everytime the A/C compressor kicks on because I think they put the belt back on too tight. I'm so mad at them for the way that I was treated that I don't even want to take the car back in so that they can fix their own mistake. Worst of all, I don't know about the dealerships near you guys, but the one here is charging $105 an hour for labor

Are you kidding me??? My company does maintenance on million dollar jets and we don't charge $105 an hour for labor!!! Nice to know my Evo is more expensive to work on than the CEO's private jet.

I learned my lesson when the guy told me they had a sale on cabin filters...he told me mine needed to be replaced...they would do it for the SALE price of $79..LOL. I went to pep boys and paid no more than $20 and did it myself..took me 5min
