My car does not start.

Today I was on my way to work and I parked my car in the parking garage. After I shut down the car, I heard "ding" on my center console. Obviously it says key missing. I cannot start the car after that... I jumped the car and it wasn't the battery issue, and I am wondering what is going on. Anybody has any ideas other than the starter I am suspecting?

Try taking out the "cube" type fuses in the engine compartment and installing them back in. Basically I had the same issue on my Evo, and it reset my
starting circuit.

if it says key missing then your active RF key might be low or gone on battery. you can slip the metal key out, and start it with that using the backup passive RF system. make sense to you at all? hmm maybe the GSRs dont come with teh smart key though...

does it crank at all?

It does not crank at all. It is not the keys nor the battery. I tried to insert keys to crank, but no luck. now nothing happens when i click on my remote

I came back to my car the next day with my spare. apparently it worked, but the service engine light is on... What is going on with the mitsu quality... I called the service department of dealership and they said this situation is not unheard of, so I am going to take it in next week and cross my fingers.....
