i ran water/meth injection on my car. they've been using this stuff for a LONG LONG time. used to use it in drag cars, etc.
in case you don't understand, which im assuming you dont, water meth injection is sprayed as close to throttle body as possible in the LICP. it cools down the charged intake air temp. thus you tune for greater timing and higher levels of boost.
in your case, i would get rid of the cat and run water/meth.
also, on a side note, i'm currently selling my AEM 1 gal meth kit if you're interested. PM me.
i decided to run a different setup for my car.

when used correctly it shouldn't have any negative impact on the car...
and to maximise the evaporative effect you should install the jet nozzle as far from the throttle body as possible, but obviously after the intercooler...

the advantage is 2 fold:
1) you get the evap effect from water/meth which cools the intake charge
2) you get the knock suppression from water/meth (water has a VERY high octane number

HI guys.. for those who have installed this kit, i am going to have this installed. Any suggestions in terms of injector placement. I have read and searched the site and there are so many differing opinions. Also, what size would you all recommend for the injector size that that AEM kit comes with? small, med, large?
What do you mean is the aem water/ meth is not good for your car???? please explain.... OR can anyone explain????
i ran the aem with the largest nozzle. and i welded a nut and screwed the nozzle in on my LICP. listen to tephra and put it "and to maximise the evaporative effect you should install the jet nozzle as far from the throttle body as possible, but obviously after the intercooler...". I thought it was closer so my nozzle was close but i'm sure hes correct over me. hahahah
like anything adding more power, its adding load/stress to your engine components so technically that is not good for your car. depends on your definition of bad. its not gonna hydrolock your motor if thats what youre asking.
"when used correctly it shouldn't have any negative impact on the car..." again tephra.
on a side note, if anyone is looking for a aem kit, i'm selling mine. pm me.
